Trade by Partner
Monthly customs values for one commodity, for the world and for any partners you pick. Trade is strongly seasonal and lumpy month to month, so the second view sums a trailing twelve months; the third reads the same figures as each partner's share of the world total, and the fourth divides value by quantity to give an average price per unit shipped.
Destination Mix Over Time
The same commodity, read as a mix rather than a level. Each band is a partner's share of the world total over a trailing twelve months, so a single strong month does not read as a change in the mix. Partners outside the five largest are bundled into one disclosed residual, never dropped, and the bands sum to 100% in every month.
Devices and Manufacturing Equipment
World totals for every commodity published in this direction, on trailing twelve-month sums. The equipment cycle and the component cycle turn at different times, which is the point of reading them together. A published group and the items beneath it are both shown and must not be added: the Ministry publishes components inside a group that are not carried here, so a group is always larger than the items listed under it.
Supply Chain by Destination
Three steps of the same chain, for one destination: the silicon wafers Japan ships to it, the integrated circuits, and the chipmaking equipment — each a trailing twelve-month total, each indexed to the same starting month so that lines of very different size can be read together. Wafers come from the HS-detail customs tables; chips and equipment from the concept-commodity tables. The three are different products and are never added.
Partner Detail
Every partner the Ministry publishes for this commodity and direction, on the latest month. Values and quantities are official customs figures; growth, the twelve-month total and the share are calculated from them. The Ministry's non-country entries — goods shipped to order, unknown destinations and bonded areas — are part of the world total and are listed with the rest, marked as not being places.
