Definition
The Ministry of Finance publishes interest rates for Japanese government bonds by maturity every business day. The 10-year rate is the benchmark long-term interest rate in Japan: mortgage rates, corporate bond yields and the Bank of Japan's former yield-curve control all referred to it.
Yields are in percent per year, as published to three decimal places. Changes on the day and on the year are stated in percentage points, the difference between two yields, not in percent.
