54.0 million (53,974,770) guest nights were spent in Japanese lodging in July 2026, on the Japan Tourism Agency's Accommodation Survey, all facility types, Japanese and foreign guests together. The survey changed its sampling from January 2026, so a comparison with a year earlier is not on the same basis and is not made here.
